Encore Advert Concept
An Immersive Journey Through Encore Boston Harbor
This motion graphics piece is a conceptual exploration of the Encore Boston Harbor's brand identity, focusing on its hallmark attributes: opulent luxury, impeccable hospitality, and signature floral aesthetics. The project involved designing and executing three distinct visual environments, each independently rendered and masterfully composited to articulate the resort's unique character.
The initial scene draws inspiration from Red 8, an elegant Chinese restaurant within the resort. This environment features intricate Chinese ornamentation and classic porcelain vases, deliberately contrasted with the recurring motif of hot pink tulip arrangements. This specific floral choice directly reflects the resort's consistent commitment to floral integration as a core element of its guest experience.
A transition marked by falling cherry blossom petals leads into the second environment, inspired by Mystique. This space combines Art Deco design principles with organic shapes, meticulously crafted to convey both the sophistication of fine dining and the dynamic excitement of the venue. The design aims to capture the experiential allure of the resort's nightlife.
The final sequence reveals the architectural grandeur of the Encore resort itself, positioned prominently above its landscaped gardens and the Boston cityscape. The building's 3D model and textures were developed to accurately mirror the real-world structure, referencing official materials and iconic visual representations, such as the widely recognized footage of Steve Wynn sitting on top of the Las Vegas property.
This project demonstrates a comprehensive skillset across the 3D pipeline. All assets were modeled, UV mapped, shaded, and assembled in Autodesk Maya. Textural detail was applied using Substance Designer and Adobe Photoshop, with final renders produced in Arnold. The integration of these elements into a cohesive final product was achieved through compositing techniques in Nuke and Adobe After Effects.
